Bouygues to buy Equans for €7.1bn

FRANCE: Bouygues, the building and diversified expert services team, has signed an arrangement to buy Equans, the FM and electricity answers arm of Engie, for an approximated €7.1bn.

The proposed merger concerning Equans and the Bouygues group’s Energies & Companies arm (Bouygues Energies & Providers and Kraftanlagen München) will create a new international chief in multi-technological expert services with income of €16bn and 96,000 workers – 74,000 of them from Equans. 

It would have broad geographical get to, extending to about 20 nations around the world throughout the world. Equans and the Bouygues group’s Energies & Products and services arm have strong positions in the key European markets and promising chances for enlargement in North America.
