Minister for Skills and Training Brendan O’Connor hosted the party and praised the winners and the 75 finalists from all about Australia for their commitment.

Halley’s schooling journey started off when her brother, also a refrigeration technician, requested her to enable out a handful of several hours a 7 days. From there, she grew a eager fascination in the field.

She says that winning the award gave her a major feeling of achievement.

“I just identified a job I appreciate and my really hard function and devotion was recognised, which is an magnificent feeling,” she states.

Halley admits that there were problems on the way to completing her apprenticeship.

But Halley claims there have been also a lot of highlights.

While Halley could be the only female refrigeration technician to have done a Certification III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration in Cairns, which is a little something she’s hoping to aid alter.

As for long term plans, Halley suggests she even now has a lot to find out.
