ITALY: Daikin Applied Europe has prolonged Daikin’s Loop (L∞P) plan for refrigerant restoration, reclamation and reuse to R134a chillers.
The Loop programme, which aims to generate a circular economic system of refrigerants, was to start with released by Daikin Europe in 2019 and addresses all VRV air conditioning models. The plan has now been adopted by Daikin Used Europe to include R134a chillers.
Daikin Applied Europe uses a mix of reclaimed and virgin refrigerant to charge new chillers. The scheme addresses the EWAD-TZ inverter screw air cooled cooling-only chillers, EWAD-T- screw fastened velocity air cooled cooling-only chillers, EWYD-4Z B multipurpose inverter screw units, EWYD-BZ inverter screw air resource warmth pumps, EWWD-VZ water cooled inverter screw chillers, EWWD-DZ oil no cost centrifugal chillers and DWSC/DWDC oil-centered centrifugal units.
Underneath the plan, Daikin recovers refrigerants from existing methods by its installer network, upcycles and reclaims them to virgin good quality.
The programme guarantees the ongoing availability of R134a, avoids its environmentally and financially expensive finish-of-daily life destruction and, being reclaimed merchandise, is not included in the European F-gas quota program.
