BELGIUM: European refrigeration, air conditioning and warmth pump manufacturers’ group EPEE has expressed dismay at today’s F-fuel revision vote, stating it sets unrealistic goals and undermines the warmth pump rollout.
EPEE has signalled its disappointment at the rejection of a number of amendments which, it suggests, would have aided Europe achieve its local weather and electrical power independence ambitions while maintaining an reasonably priced but bold regulation.
“The European Parliament F-fuel vote harms European sector and harms Europeans by pushing unrealistic objectives that undermine the warmth pump rollout and maintain back again the decarbonisation of the crafted environment – indirectly benefiting fossil gas-dependent technologies,” explained EPEE director normal Russell Patten.
“We are dismayed that parliament has rejected pragmatic amendments to the implementation of the F-gasoline regulation revision,” he additional.
On Tuesday, EPEE set its name to a statement signed by 14 primary European and global associations urging MEPs to adopt a variety of new amendments that they reported “would assistance be certain an effective F-gasoline section down while preserving the EU’s local climate and strength security goals”.
