INDIA: Air conditioning manufacturer Voltas has damaged ground on a new US$60m manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.
Administration of the enterprise carried out the ceremony of Bhoomi Pujan – the traditional Indian development blessing – on the proposed new facility previous Wednesday (May perhaps 26).
The building of the new production facility, the company’s fifth, will occupy over 150 acres in Madharpakkam in the Tiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. It will initially manufacture place air conditioners and will complement the company’s current RAC facility in Pantnagar.
The manufacturing facility is anticipated to be totally operational in the present fiscal 12 months and is predicted to generate work for about 1500+ staff.
